Artist anniversary 2026–2027
Choreographer and dance artist Alpo Aaltokoski celebrates his 40th year as an artist starting in spring 2026. In honor of the anniversary, we would like to warmly thank the partners and audience of Alpo Aaltokoski Company, artists and fellow artists: without you, there would be no us! In October 2026, we will organize a program-packed celebration week at Dance House Helsinki. Hope to see you there!

Alpo Aaltokoski Company
Alpo Aaltokoski Company is a Helsinki-based dance company and one of the pillars of Finnish contemporary dance. During his career, choreographer, dance artist and artistic director Alpo Aaltokoski has created over 65 choreographies that have been performed in over 30 countries on five continents. Alpo Aaltokoski Company’s works are characterized by a seamless dialogue between choreography, lighting, sound and costume design, and the dancers’ interpretation.
