Alpo Aaltokoski Company

Alpo Aaltokoski Company is one of the pillars of Finnish contemporary dance. AAC was founded in 1995 to create and perform contemporary dance works under the direction of choreographer-dance artist Alpo Aaltokoski.

During his career, Alpo Aaltokoski has created more than 65 choreographies which have been performed in more than 30 countries across five continents.

Alpo Aaltokoski Company’s works are characterized by choreographic skill and a seamless dialogue with light, sound and costume design which, along with the choreographer’s strong movement, open the performances up to a wider audience.

Alpo Aaltokoski Company’s operations are managed by Nomadi ry, which also acts as a supporting organization for 50+Dance Collective, the Ukrainian-based Ethno Contemporary Ballet, the street dance collective Will Funk For Food, and numerous freelance artists.
